Caring for Your Yin Yoga Mat

Your Yin Yoga Mat is crafted from a natural rubber base with a luxurious microsuede top layer, and with a little love and care, it will support your practice for years to come. Like all natural materials, your mat will respond best when treated gently and mindfully — the same energy you bring to your practice.

Cleaning Your Mat

After each session, give your mat a light wipe down using a damp cloth or a gentle, natural spray. Mix a few drops of mild dish soap or white vinegar with water in a small spray bottle, mist the surface lightly, and wipe clean with a soft cloth. Avoid soaking your mat or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can break down the natural rubber base and affect the feel of your microsuede surface over time.

Drying & Storage

Always allow your mat to air dry completely before rolling it up. Lay it flat or hang it over a chair or rail in a well-ventilated space, away from direct sunlight. Prolonged sun exposure can cause the natural rubber to deteriorate, so a cool, shaded spot is always best. Once dry, roll your mat loosely with the microsuede side facing inward to protect the surface.

A Little Note on Natural Materials

As your mat is made from natural rubber, you may notice a subtle earthy scent when it first arrives — this is completely normal and will gently fade with use and airing. It's simply a sign of the beautiful, natural materials that went into making it. The more you use your mat, the more it becomes yours.
