We share this nourishing pumpkin & papaya curry, a warming plant-based recipe from Byron Bay based cook Cade McConnell (Om Cade).
Cade is a plant-based cook with a philosophy of ‘consciousness over convenience’. Dishes are eastern inspired, created with love and made from scratch using organic ingredients and seasonal produce.
"It's sad that we've come to a time where cooking and feeding ourselves and others has become a chore. Eating was once a way of connecting, a daily ritual that occurred multiple times. Sitting around a table meant connection, it meant community, family. A time for us to check in with those around us and ourself. A place for us to share our feelings and emotions, a place to be heard. Everyone eating was ingesting the love from the cook. We learnt to share, we learnt gratitude. We shared words of reverence to the mother, creation, god, the earth. Let's go back to the roots."
